The department of Sanskrit started functioning in the year 1982 under the leadership of Dr. P V. Viswanathan Nampoothiri. The department offers a complementary course for B.A Malayalam. The department is offering a common course for B.A / B.Sc and B.Com programmes from 1999 onwards.
