The Department of Business Administration was established in 2014 and is the youngest department of Baselius College, Kottayam (Autonomous). The department offers a four-year BBA (Honours) degree with dual specialisation in Marketing and Human Resource Management.

The department has consistently strived to excel in its academic pursuits. The department’s legacy of strong academic performance reflects the dedication of both our faculty and students. The department conducts a specialised lecture series titled ‘Let’s Talk Business,’ which provides students with a unique platform to listen to, learn from, and interact with established entrepreneurs and corporate officials. This, coupled with our regular industrial visits, ensures that our students gain vital experiential and hands-on learning that transcends the limitations of a traditional classroom. Furthermore, the department functions in a fully ICT-enabled environment, fostering a modern, digital-first approach to management education.

To ensure our students remain competitive in a rapidly evolving business landscape, the department places significant emphasis on skill development. We prioritise technical proficiency, with a strong focus on Advanced Excel and data analysis software such as Jamovi. Orientation programs and workshops are provided to enhance life skills and soft skills. Workshops focusing on employability enhancement skills are also provided to students.

We also take pride in nurturing the diverse talents of our students, whether they are budding entrepreneurs managing their own firms, active participants in financial market trading, or balancing part-time professional roles. Our department provides the support and flexibility necessary for student-led innovation.
