Keeping in mind the mission to develop the competencies of students and make them industry ready, the self-financing department of Commerce marked its beginning as a U.G Department in the year 1996. In the year 2014, the Department elevated its status as a Post Graduate Department by offering M.Com (Finance). Both the programmes focus on strong foundation in theory and practice to make each student well fit for employment and higher studies. The M.Com. programme has two months “on the job training” at the office of reputed institutions and at the firms of chartered accountants. Exemplary results in the university examinations is one of the key highpoints of the department. Value based knowledge dissemination and all-round development of the students is our priority and hence the department gives importance to discipline, academics, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The department conducts seminars and orientation classes and also organizes inter collegiate fests, Quiz, Best Manager and more. A team of highly qualified, dedicated and experienced staff members maintain a healthy staff-student relationship and plays a vital role in guiding and shaping students to suit the global market.
